Lies and propaganda were used by manipulating facts in the former Yugoslavia and Syria, but now they are becoming more important in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, where some claims are exaggerated, and sometimes even fabricated, and where there is a constant reversal of facts in favor of propaganda.
"The goal is to conceal the causes of the conflict and to obliterate the truth about the actions committed by the Ukrainian army," she said.
She continued: "It is no coincidence that when the Russians entered Donbass, the first thing the US and the EU did was to block pages on the Internet and shut down television channels that could present Moscow's view of current events, their course and causes.
